carbine for brutes as for hunters rocket launchers if possible........if not unload and dogde the attacks of cannon barrges then if you get close dodge their sheild swing then smash your weapon with the "B" button mellee attack it will be temporily wounded and slow then fire with the best weapon you have

also to beat those crazy @$$ Elites simply find cover and maybe toss some grenades for an advaentage then once their sheilds are down fire from a rang or if it's on a lower diffculty seeting charge battering them with your weapon if none of these options are avaible then prehaps doulbe back and gather suffeint weapons for killing Elites RE: needler plasma sword, shotgun, battle rifle,etc. if your out of ammo fight hand-to-hand and duck or side step their blows

I have a ps2...and nothing else....but those 5 dollar games from GameStop are pretty fun.....even if I beat them in five hours (proven, did it over the weekend with a game called eve of extinction.)
