Uranium shots are VERY powerful now, but only useful from large guns on the ground, as they are very heavy and dense bullets. These are not the kind of bullets you can buy at WalMart, as they are most useful for firing at heavily armored tanks or ships. But, depleated uranimum is one of the best forms of ammo you can get right now for going through heavy shields.

Plus, there is not exactly a shortage of it right now, and the cost to produce is same as silicon. My guess is we will use enough silicon on fighters and turrets with this change to give the market a bit of life for the silicon resource. Of course, I have been predicting that the price of gold and silicon would increase for months now, and it has not done so, which means that my prediction ability is highly questionable. I also predicted that LTC would lose last round, and even bet against them, and lost. So, make your own predictions and decisions.
