Ha down with the points is alright but there should be more opportunities for making recs. Like there used to bea profit in training 2500 exp assaults. Dont know exactly how but maybe production buildings on planets that gain exp and build better ships with more exp.

And those diplomacy changes sound good, makes everything more formal and makes each person seem more like an empire rather than an individual.

OK I agree with Neg and Thabim on everyting they say..... also I Love Tarog's idea..... though as SF pointed out indirectly..... you really dont need the chart as Tarog stated because if youre willin gto do a little brain work based on how many plannets owned plannets captured and points gained theres already an indication in hte form Tarog suggested but I still Like Tarogs Idea malkes it a lot Easier rather than going through player profiles and comparing ratios.....

Iridayn I like all your Ideas. as Thabin said weve been rooting for a lot of those ideas for quite some time now.... especially the NAP idea....
also Iri Ive also in the past asked abou teliminating the decision screen when theres only one option...... :).... *you sorta explained that better. :).... any way....
I like zerohrs idea about no interest on T but Interest on E and 2 or 1% on non def... But no interest on I is ridiculous. next to T its one of the most valuable recs in the game.... and is doing fine where its at.....

as for points for recs held... it really is an incentive to build huge HWs... so if you had the chart with the top 10 recs holder but not the exact number theyd become targets. which really balances the fatc they they made however many point for buildinhg such huge plannets. so it would be flipsided. both good and bad to be on that list.... but better yet.... extend that list to top 50 because people will want to try and escape the list by storing on ships.... so maybe you could put it at top 50 or include recs on ships also...... I think the extended list is waay easier ;) :P......
anyway Ive written enough for now. :D......

I worry about reducing interest and points for resources for one reason.

Those 2 things brought HW's back into the game !

Now I'm not saying that they could use some adjustment, but I haven't heard anything good yet, with the exception of maybe MinderBinder's concept of expanding the market, although a bit extreme. Maybe just the option to short a resource or open an options exchange would be enough?

OK, really, we already have a cap of 16 mill E and T on HW's. what about instead of having interest wasted by leaving it on your planets at that amount, your planet got an extra point or 2 for the deff? This would give something in return for not collecting on your interest.

Example:

x20 HW has 15.5 mill E and T on it, would continue to get interest as normal. Once it hit's 16 mill for each E and T, and the interest can no longer increase the resources, it would increase the planet to a x22 until the next 15 minute increament.

a x20 HW that had 16 mill T and only 15 mill E would still collect the interest on the E, but would go up to x21 because of the T.

Changing points is complex, and probably too radical a change given the power of shields now.

As for interest, I prefer keeping interest on T and E the same, but am flexible about level.

Yes, interest brought HWs back, but with a twist. Few HWs have any significant amount of non-defense resources on them. The risk of holding non-defense is not worth the gains from doing so, even with interest, for most members of the SL community.

Therefore, I think that interest should be DIFFERENT for DEFENSE versus NON-DEFENSE.

Not sure that zero interest for defense is a good idea, but maybe it could be lower than it is now (potentially addressing Filas's concerns). But, I suspect that interest on non-defense resources could be higher than it is now, so there is more incentive to take a risk and store some non-defense.

I say we get rid of points for resources and keep the intrest that way they intrest is plowed into assault and attacks and we can still keep Hw's around for the increase in amount of troops available to attack with. :shrug: This way we keep a lid on cheap points, and award our attackers.

If the interest is going to be there it should be on all resources whether defensive or non-defensive.

Changing the caps on market prices should adjust the prices and in turn production of different resources.

Sure, I agree. I just do not want points for Holding Resources. Especially Definsive resources. Now non defensive I can see because if you hold alot of those it makes you a target and is worth it for the risk, but the defensive resources gives you double, The def and the points. :S

But again defensive resources give points. Non Defensive resources dont. So again if points should be given they should be for all resources. Uniformity should be maintained.
