Berserkas, I don't understand what you're asking? Why not what?

Personally, I tend to agree with Tarog and Iiri, at least to a certain degree.

As far as believing in Creation as it is laid out in Genesis, I suspect that is the result of people believing in something just because enough other people believe it also. The orgins of the stories in Genesis can be argued to come from the Hebrew ansestors, the Sumerians and their mythology.

Here's a very easy to understand explanation:
http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_095b.html

If you study the Sumerian mythology, you'll find that they also use a similar sense of time, where one person(or gods and goddesses) can live for hundreds of years. You'll also find similarities between their gods and goddesses and Adam and Eve, Moses and the great flood, Cain and Abel, and even Jesus.

My point is, read the bible if you are christian, but keep in mind that it is the meaning behind the story that is important, not the story it's self. Everyone has heard the story of the boy who cried wolf, and everyone knows that the meaning of the story is true, but the story it's self is just that, a story used to teach the meaning, it was an example, that doesn't mean that the story actually happened.

The bible says god created man in his image, I suspect he's not done yet as we have much to learn.

regarding fowl and the bible...

regarding Tarogstar's post of http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/day-age.html
Oh boy. Started off great. the large text was easy to read. I skipped over the
tiny text and read the last line. Sad, this shows the prejudice and bias
for the reason he wrote this. As usual, a man with beliefs finds/makes
up/decides on an interpretation to explian things to mesh with his own
beliefs.

regarding Hope's post of http://biology.clc.uc.edu/courses/bio105/ribs.htm
Ah finally. Someone that uses physical evidence vs. conjecture to prove a point.

FYI-
Although it is never mentioned in the Bible, archeologists and religious scholars believe that Jesus was vegetarian.

Yup....

It's truely impossible for an egg to come out of nowhere.

The chicken, however, could've evolved from a single celled organism over the course of several years.

 to the chicken.
:guns: to the egg.
