The actual color of the sky will always be a unknown. Because we see the light that is not filtered out. So the only thing we can be sure of is that the color we see is not the color it truly is. So I know the sky is not blue, because that is what it appears to be. If it were green (saw what appeared to be that during/after a tornado) the I know it was not green because that is the color it appeared to be.
