Just now we had about 20 minutes or so of unplanned downtime. The query to close an account is criminally slow, though it looks like it just locked up the server and didn't kill anything it shouldn't. This is almost certainly what "killed" SkyLords back in 2006 or 2007 (according to my vague recollections) - the developer didn't understand what had happened (and the query is really really inefficient). I'll need to lock down account closures for now to prevent locking up the site again until I fix the query, in case I get emailing working again first :/. Not soon, have negative money for the first time since I was 13 or so, so need to focus on working more hours for now |
