These are all of the series author I can think of off of the top of my head. I have 350-400 books in my library. Mostly sci fi/ fantasy. With all of the usual book that they had me read through out my school career. If you run through these let me know. I can get you a list of individual book authors :D

Eddings is solid, Pratchett is funny, Whyte gives the Arthurian tales a Historical Fiction view, Cs friedman's is very good.
The rest are readable and enjoyable.

Don't much like fantasy, but enjoy anything by Asimov or Heinland in the SciFi category. AE van Voit is sort of a bit to the fantasy side of SciFi and is also very good.

I have about 300 sci-fi and fantasy books as well, there's a great publisher in Lithuania which publishes a long series of what they claim is world's best fantasy and sci-fi, well there are some good ones :) I'd like some more though, I'll buy english ones I see in this topic if I'll find them, I like to read in original language if I can...

Glen Cook: "Black Company" series
Ursula LeGuin: "Wizard of Earthsea" series
Roger Zelazny, "Amber" series

Some random books and books about Forgotten Realms too, to lazy to write them here... Didn't like them enough to look up exact names but they were pretty good as well to be mentioned here :)

I also like sci-fi but since this is a place for fantasy books...
Well, some fantasy books from Sergej Lukjanenko are good, like "The Boy and the Darkness", although sci-fi books written by him are better, "Day Watch", "Night Watch" and "Twilight Watch" series were incredible, also "The Spectrum" (not sure about translation, I have read them all in russian ;) ).
Oh yeah, if "Harry Potter" can be classified as fantasy, then I liked this one as well :)
