Topic Title: Another idea to make the game more exciting (Simple Topic)

Maybe reset every 3 months (or when one player get say 700k (need to calculate or discus) points) will be better (like in another games), every time after reset, all players will have equal chances to build safe HW, or defeat another player (who now just farming). After reset players must be active, if want to survive. After reset every player, even new, can play, and learn to play...
Game is dying, cosmetic changes does not change anything. Game needs new players. Now newbie’s joining just to be defeated by farmers. Now we have less than 100 active players, and decreasing, because no left interest, challenge. And changes must be not for one or two players or for owner of the game (funniest change - points for resources, stored in planets. Just when Prof can be first from doing nothing will be change?).

P.S. And thanks again for no answer Prof. I asked how much % you get from buying resources for cash as game owner administrator or something. Then I think you getting 70%-90%, from every buy, and don’t want to hear nothing about how brave you are to collect 2 mil points per month.

I get zero % fee or income as game administrator. The game is owned by a research center that I am director of, so I have control of the resources, but all funds go back into the game.

As for your other comments, it is not clear that "the game is dying" as there are about the same number of people active now as were active a year ago. It is not growing, but that is partly due to problems we are working on now in the background.

As for newbies joining just to be defeated, it is sure a lot easier now to stay alive than it was a year ago when I was a newbie. Very few people were able to survive more than a month without a restart back then. Ask Griffin how many accounts he had before the changes last May, and how many he has had since then. Before May, when I took over, the game was even less dynamic than it is now, as HWs were invincible and vets had little to do other than bashing a few hopeful newer players who were struggling and trying to get a safe HW built.

a reset every few onths would really kill the game and convince a lot of people to give up on the game full stop

ASK DEEMERS, CYDIONA, TALLDUDE, THEPIECE, there's 4 with the proper training they all survived, how could you forget prof 3 you trained.

they are the players who are some of the best, the players who actually came through then are still here and there, they may not be as active as they were but thats not the point, they were no offence, a better class of player, i'd match any of those 4 against any player currently active

And may i add, most players who restarted like that were doing it upon YOUR advice, or don't you remember serial restarting, exactly how many of those players are around

Without a challenge this game is boring

Taking 2nd a few rounds ago, with no homeworld was one of the best rounds i've played in this game, probably the peak of my activity, and as most of you know i'm always here, arn't i filas ;), shouldn't attack my homeworlds ;)

Don't underestimate Aretard023. He is both good and agressive. I would bet on him, and there are a few others who are new that are pretty good as well.

We had some problems with emails going out for a couple months which made it very hard to sign up for the game. We have fixed some of these problems, and have some more to fix now, but we are close to being able to do more marketing.

And, MBIK is helping with coding an important new module which will help with marketing.

that would explain lack of newb influx, or at least lack of ACTIVE newb influx

And I'm sure he is good, just i have to see the player in combat first

A reset every 3 months would not kill the game entirely, maybe every 4-6 months. Tyhis would allow for people to join build up attack and see thier points before the reset. Not a bad idea at all.

i think continual resets will anger a lot more people then it will make happy
if we have continual resets, people who have put a lot of time/money/effort into the game will see it all vanish except for the total points
im going to guess we would lose around 80% of active players, and 90% of vets

imagine if in RL you had worked hard for years and built up money and were living a happy life as a result of your hard work
then the country became communist and suddenly the government took all your money and divided it up among everyone, i dont know about you, but i would move somewhere else
