Howmuch defence is reduced when you crash a ship into a planet?

I thought the reduction in defence is exactly equal to the assault attack strength.

Today when I was attacking I noticed some formula which was different than my understanding.

Planet name: Vilnius

Planet owner: Lord Robert

Energy: 7,231,207
Troops: 3,639,003
Shield: x3

Total defense: 14,131,273

then I crash a 500K assault full of troops and the new figures are

Planet name: Vilnius

Planet owner: Lord Robert

Energy: 7,023,322
Troops: 3,534,388
Shield: x3

Total defense: 13,725,023

This was reduction in defence by 406250.

Similar was for 200% assaults.

Even though I captured the planets it just disturbed my calculations and I ended up in crashing far more assaults on the planets. More loss of troops and iron.

Prof could you shed some light on this?

maybe for some reason more troops where being put on it at the time you got this variance like interest or prudcing troops

No that is not the case. All the other resources on the planets remained same. I have saved all the spy reports after every unsuccessful attack on 3rd planet after I noticed some problem while capturing the first 2 planets.

Possible. Or maybe at the time of server change some old files have taken place of a new file.

If I remember well, in program there was unsucessful attack formula - it was calculating how many troops and energy will be left on planet after assault being crashed on it. Seems like you forgot to change this formula while changing shields...
