the asguard are preoccupied with something in their own galaxy, thor and heimdall are on that. the unas are helping us out. the nox are peaceful and well hidden, wouldn't hwelp us anyway. the rheetoo, not sure there.

the movie says Ra is one of the last of his kind. so several are still around. only takes one queen and 7 years and u got a few more. he finds a human around 2000-2500 years ago, judging Yu's age and him being one of the oldest.

holographic knight makes sense considering the same guy (merlin/moros/myriden) set it all up.

the ancients back story did not change. they just went further back. they came from ori galaxy. set up shop here, built many astria porta (stargate) and life flourished. plague swept across galaxy (speculation Ori sent it) and life went dead. used dakara superweapon to seed life again then left several million years ago for pegasus. did same thing there. but through means not exactly shown YET, wraith evolved to challange ancients, out numbered them. so they left and returned to earth 10,000 years ago. where the remainder decided to either integrated into society and brought some civilistaion (eg Roman's, call the gods, the ancients or road builders, (suggesting stargate)), or went into isolation to mediatate and ascend, joining their brethren who had ascended when the plague was around all those millions of years ago.

The stories of Stargate have always had a decent running theam, i think that they lacked one or two things..

The only cliff hangers where series endings, but more to the point, they tried to make you believe 4 beings could do whatever they wanted... They should have used more troops on occasion, how many times where they captured and escaped, come on surely someone would learn... yes i know arrogance of the Gould is against them, but still,

as for the Raith, they are a mix of humans and some leech like creature who advanced quickly due to the fact that they don't need to pass on information, they have an enternatly

Oh and a handful of Acients against millions is never gonna work
