Warp point

Simply it's a ship with a warp drive that will show up in your list of points to warp/i-flight to along with your planets

as its the only one i've actually read it the only one i'm going to comment on....

i do not think a fighter carrier is a good idea.....if it slower or costs more....people are just going to I-Flight them in groups. I always thought being able to I-flight in groups was the reason this was never needed.

The only way i could see this ship being used is to hide the amount of fighters you currently have. i'e 3 carriers at 1m volumes=300 10k volumes fighters ( assuming that a 10k fighter takes up 10k space in carrier) someone attacks your homeworld and you ambush them with 300hundred fighters to get round.....this thing would not ever be used to transport them unless it did it quicker or cheaper than a standard grouped I-flight.


EDIT: I don't think marketing as carrier is a good idea. (unless there was actually advantage to using it). I think it would work if marketed as just a place to store them to keep your numbers secret. Though obviously if carrier is destroyed all contents are equal decimated.

Another advantage to them is a concentrated attack on a planet. The ship should have an "attack nearby planet" option whereby the fighters onboard attack the planet - perhaps 10 fighters at a time.

Presumably this would also be able to have a similar function against ships if you set it to do it to planets, so I could have 10 ships attack another ship at a time. And if people really want this then I think it has to have hyperdrive, because if it doesn't then you might as well just increase the available attack/defense of a normal fighter and call it good because that's all you are doing is making a bigger fighter basically.

I have to agree with Cajin on this one. I think part of the fun of attacking/defending is that we have to click on each event. Sitting back and clicking "navy attack planet" doesn't seem as interesting. If some kind of delay is built in between every fighter launch (for an available launch tube), maybe that would make sense.

What about creating a "filling station" ship. This would connect to a remote planet and fill all of a player's ships in the same parsec with a specified amount of resources until all ships are filled or the planet runs out of the specified resources. This would help remove one of the most tedious aspects of Skylords: loading fleets for i-flight or attacks.

Maybe this would work as a "warp point" ship, to keep up the universe physics model. It would require a stable warp from the source planet. I would think that this would be an expensive ship with no defense capabilities.

Filling station has potential since yeah it is a pain filling up a bunch of assaults for an attack, could be abused slightly for fighters by decreasing volume on them to send to an HW to attack though

What about somthing like a reapir station cause i know there are ships out there that could used some reapir some of those transports that barly got away from an assult.
