I think the problem of voting is too many possible answers, so we always will have distribution in such case.
To have clear answer I'd suggest surveys with only 2 possible answers:
1. Leave like it is now
2. Change to...

Change should be proposed and idscussed on forums and accepted by at least 10 active players - then such question can be included into the survey.

Personally I do not mind the interst. I absolutely hate the defensive points though. That is majorly double dipping.

you could make it a two part question
1) keep as is
change to _____

2)change to x
change to y
change to z

that way we can see if there is a majority or not, and still get info on what people want the change to be

And then after this if question two has the most votes, you can narrow the voting field down to just these options etc...

hm, was it 53 people voted, yet it seems that 5 people (no where close to a majority) repeatedly complain about an issue they now all of a sudden changes will happen?

First, I'm surprised by the people who are implying that prof might not be reporting the voting results acurately thus asking for names of who voted for what. In all respect, Prof can run the game how ever he wants to, and I respect him that he lets us vote on issues.

Second, I think Hope and Filas have explained their points, multiple times, in great detail. The votes prove that these are issues that the comunity is divided on. I do not agree with either one of you, I just don't have the time or inclination to sit in the forums and reply to every comment made. Good god, do you 2 ever enjoy RL?

5 months ago there were only inactive's HW's to attack. If we listen to Hope and Filas, we will return to that state very quickly, as they say that they don't want interest or points for resources. I also think it's a bad choice to put those to together to come up with voting questions. We will end up with a survey that includes choices like:
A. Rock
B. Hard Place

Find 2 players who have different views on things in the game and make them work together.

As for what to do for April round, make small changes. If people are split on a subject, give them a compromise.

Here's my suggestion for points. Award points for only non-deff resources.

Yes I realize that no one would be truely happy about that, but that's the thing with compromises, you come up with something that everyone can live with.

*appluase for Moiare*

I fully agree with your compromise, it means that the gatherers can get points for their work and have an incentive to do so, but also that there will be more reward for attackers.

gatherers do play a big part in this game. If it wasn't for them watupdogg and others would not get the points they do get each round. Maybe the attackers are forgetting about the hand that feeds them.

Well Moire... Goo djob on that post... and as usual... here comes MoM with his highly controversal suggestions and remarks...
Proff....
Why are you taking off points per recs?...... WE WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH RECS YOU AND LTC AND DOGG AAND EVERYONEELSE that buys creds have.... :D.....I dont see hope or Filas saying anything against that... but now were speaking out against cred buying you wanna change point system... the majority of the vote was NO Change.... but you agreed with the 35% or so tha t wanted the system to change so youre making that change.... Porff why is i that you seem to constantly try and outwitt the SL comminuty....?.....

Ok now on to the Hope/Filas issue....
Yes theres a prob with interest for Def recs... so I say Yes NO more interest for Def recs.. though it is a very lovely thing to have... :D.... But keep interest for nondef recs... maybe even increase it... that would make HWs more "voluptuous" targets....

* a change to consider would be to hvae a require ment for a certian amount of non def Recs to be on a plannet before it could gain full shields....

ex.... if you Def is 100 mil...... you need 10 mil non def for full shields to work.... so that would be a 10% requirement..... and for every 1% of nondef that you lack..... that number times 10 would be decrerased from your shield.... so if you had 8 mil non def on a potentially 100 mil def plannet.... sorry but all you would get is 80 Mil def..... 2% x 10..... :)......

*everyone please express their views on my suggestions......
I agree with Moire......
