Agreed..... there should be a "Zero tolerance" policy on this issue as using such bugs is CHEATING and any players caught should be treated as such.

First, lets make it clear that in many societies if you are caught with stollen property, how you got it doesn't really matter. It's generally against the law. RBA, I understand what you are saying, but you have played for long enough to know that any planet that is producing over 20 points isn't right and should have reported it to prof.

Although that statement is true, the exploitation of how the game will react to behavior outside the bounds of normal use IS the fault of the player exploiting it.

If Microsoft releases an OS that happens to have a security flaw in it where a malformed packet can cause a buffer overflow and grant escalated privliges to a guest account, and a cracker exploits this flaw and steals you're credit card information, would you use this same deffense for the person who ripped you off? I doubt it, and I doubt any judge would take the time to listen to it either.

Personally, I think the player who exploited this got off easy.

I do understand well i'm guilty but i made it specially and even announced just after post about shield appeared how would i do if i had one to make this more funny.

The thing is i did not consider this as stealing but as taking what was stolen from me. When a court gives you capital punishment for a crime you didn't, i do not consider escaping from jail as a crime.

The only thing i would like to hear who were those "other players" got punishment here?

Moiare I understand that, but originally RBA PMed King Rav. It's a problem which roots to not knowing who this new administrator is, how can we know whether a bug is being exploited or if the bug is just game admin testing things?

RBA was wrong to do this, but for him to be the player punished above others seems to me unfair, especially as it was not RBA who gave these new planets their extra production, but King Rav. If he benifited from the bug, then yes, taking the benifit away is a reasonable response. However, resetting the planets means lost production on those planets now for at least 11 months - until they reach x20 production, this in my eyes was not a fair punishment.

Far better would have been resetting planets to original PP, removing resources produced by the planet since capture and banning King Rav for bug exploitation.

the best would be to destroy all planets which are buggy - the same way as planets of suspended players are destroyed. Such way anyone who get a such planet will know that it can be destroyed anytime with all the res on it.

As for King Ravana he doesn't seem to be buying credits this round and i do not see a reasonable legal way where he could get all those resources.

Ermm..anyone needs a x9 bz planet? I believe it's now the safest one to have
